At least two people lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries in what officials described as a workplace shooting in Chester, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia, as reported by CNN. The injured individuals were transported to a hospital following the event.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer stated that the shooting occurred at Delaware County Linen on Wednesday morning. During a news conference, Stollsteimer mentioned that the suspect arrived at the job site armed and “vented his frustration” on coworkers.

A suspect was apprehended in the nearby city of Trainer, Chester Police Commissioner Steven Gretsky told CNN.

Chester Mayor Stefan Roots identified the suspect as a “disgruntled employee, a current employee” of the business. “It highlights the issue of guns in America.” He remarked, “It’s heartbreaking, it’s tragic, it has to stop,” as quoted by CNN.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer reported that the shooter initially fled in a vehicle but was quickly captured during a traffic stop, according to news agency AP. The shooter’s name has not been disclosed, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
