“3 Indian-American Students Killed, 2 Injured in Georgia Car Overturn Incident”

New Delhi: In Alpharetta, Georgia, a tragic accident claimed the lives of three Indian-American students and injured two others when their speeding car flipped over. The victims, all 18 years old, included both high school and college students, as reported by India Today.

Alpharetta Police are currently investigating the incident, with initial findings suggesting that excessive speed was a key factor. The deceased have been identified as Aryan Joshi, a senior at Alpharetta High School, and Sriya Avasarala and Anvi Sharma, freshmen at the University of Georgia.

The injured individuals are Rithwak Somepalli, a student at Georgia State University who was driving the Honda Accord, and Mohammed Liyakath, a senior at Alpharetta High School.

Authorities reported that the driver lost control of the car, causing it to overturn and come to rest upside down in a wooded area. Aryan Joshi and Sriya Avasarala were pronounced dead at the scene, and Anvi Sharma passed away from her injuries at North Fulton Hospital.

As noted in Instagram updates from the respective organizations, Sriya Avasarala was part of the UGA Shikaari dance team, while Anvi Sharma was a vocalist with the UGA Kalakaar a cappella group, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, as referenced in the India Today article.

Aryan Joshi was part of the cricket team at Alpharetta High School. The incident took place on May 14 on Westside Parkway, slightly north of Maxwell Road in Alpharetta, Georgia.

On April 27, a tragic car crash in the US claimed the lives of three women from Gujarat. Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel, and Manishaben Patel, all hailing from Anand district in Gujarat, lost their lives when their SUV veered off the road and plunged over a bridge in Greenville County, South Carolina.
