Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has named Mohammad Mokhber, the current first Vice-President, as the country’s Mohammad Mokhber. This decision follows the passing of Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter accident on Sunday. Mohammad Mokhber, as interim President, will oversee the transition of governance and administrative duties in Iran until a new President is chosen.
Mohammad Mokhber, who is 68 years old and was born on September 1, 1955, assumed the role of first Vice-President of Iran in 2021 following Ebrahim Raisi’s victory in the Presidential elections.
