โAIMIM Malegaon president and ex-mayor Abdul Malik was shot three times last night. He has been transported to Nashik for medical care. I had a phone conversation with his brother, Dr. Khalid. We are steadfast in our support for Abdul Malikโs family. @mieknathshinde @DGPMaharashtra need to take urgent action. In February of this year, AIMIM leader Abdul Salam was fatally shot by unknown attackers in Bihar’s Gopalganj district. The tragic event occurred as Salam, who had unsuccessfully run for the Gopalganj assembly seat by-election in November 2022, was en route to catch a train. Four assailants on two motorcycles opened fire on him while he was riding as a passenger with a relative.
Salam became the second AIMIM leader to be killed within a few months. In December, the district president of AIMIM from Siwan, Bihar, was also shot and killed in the state.
