  • President Biden receives gratitude from numerous speakers for his unwavering commitment to the United States.
  • In his speech, the President highlights the achievements of his administration.
  • During his Democratic National Committee address, President Joe Biden expresses his affection for the nation, stating, “I Love you, America.”

On Monday evening, President Joe Biden delivered his farewell speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago. CNN reported that Biden, 81, was introduced by his daughter Ashley, symbolizing the transition of leadership to Vice President Kamala Harris, with strong family support evident.

This address marks a crucial moment for Biden as he speaks to his party following his recent decision to withdraw from the presidential race, a move prompted by influential party members and voters. With half a century of public service, this speech represents one of his final opportunities to champion his legacy and vision for the nation.

Prior to Joe Biden’s address, several speakers at the event expressed their appreciation for his service to the country. His daughter Ashley introduced him after First Lady Jill Biden’s remarks. Upon taking the stage, Biden embraced Ashley and appeared emotional, wiping his eyes. Family members in the VIP suite also displayed visible emotion.

The audience applauded for over four minutes before Biden began speaking. He thanked his wife Jill, referring to her as the family’s “rock.” He expressed his love for his family and the American people.

In his speech, President highlighted his administration’s achievements. He emphasized his commitment to moving America forward, opposing hate and violence, embracing diversity, and rebuilding the middle class. He noted that his policies benefited both Republican and Democratic states, stressing the importance of serving all Americans.

Persident reflected on the events that led to his 2020 presidential run, including the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. He reaffirmed his belief in an America where honesty, dignity, and decency are valued.

Meanwhile, thousands of largely peaceful pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched in Chicago on the DNC’s opening day, protesting the Biden administration’s support for Israel in the Gaza conflict. Later, a small group of protesters breached part of the security perimeter, leading to some arrests. The DNC security team confirmed that law enforcement responded swiftly, and there was no threat to attendees.
