CISF Constable Kulwinder Kaur, Who Slapped Kangana Ranaut, Suspended and Facing Arrest

The constable named Kulwinder Kaur was promptly suspended after the occurrence at Chandigarh airport as Ranaut was en route to catch a flight to Delhi on Thursday.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable who slapped Kangana Ranaut, the newly-elected Mandi MP and actor, at Chandigarh airport has reportedly been arrested on Friday. This follows her suspension that was imposed the day after the incident occurred.

Kulwinder Kaur, the constable involved in the incident, was swiftly suspended after the altercation took place at Chandigarh airport while Ranaut was en route to board a flight to Delhi on Thursday. A case has been registered against Kaur in relation to the incident.

The constable’s actions were reportedly triggered by an old statement made by Ranaut.

Kulwinder Kaur’s recent video has gained widespread attention, where she mentions, “My mother was present.” This statement refers to Ranaut’s previous claim that women participating in the farmers’ protest were paid ₹100 each to occupy the borders of Delhi.

“Kangana said the women were sitting in the farmers’ protests for ₹100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made that remark,” Kaur said in the video.

Strategically waited: Kangana Ranaut on slap incident

Ranaut claimed that the CISF constable purposefully waited for her to go through the security screening. Then, in a distinct Khalistani manner, the constable approached from behind and struck her face without uttering a single word.

After the incident, Kangana Ranaut, who recently emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha election from the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh, took to social media to share a video discussing the altercation. In the video, she mentioned being slapped by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur at the airport. Ranaut implied a connection between the attack and terrorism in Punjab.

On Friday, Ranaut utilized her Instagram platform to recount her airport experience through two stories. In these narratives, she drew parallels between herself and the late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who tragically lost her life at the hands of her bodyguards.

Furthermore, Ranaut asserted that when she confronted the constable involved, he skillfully redirected the focus by engaging with other passengers who were capturing the incident on video. Through her insinuations, Ranaut implied that the constable’s actions were driven by political motives.
