Filmmaker Karan Johar has revealed the release date for his upcoming film ‘Dhadak 2’, which features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in lead roles. Previously, Johar had dismissed rumors that his production house, Dharma Productions, was working on a sequel to ‘Dhadak’.
On Monday, Karan Johar took to Instagram to unveil a motion poster showcasing Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The movie, directed by Shazia Iqbal, is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2024.
In his Instagram post, Karan Johar wrote in Hindi, “Yeh kahani hai thodi alag kyuki ek tha raja, ek thi rani, jaat alag thi, khatam kahani (This story is a little different because there was a king, there was a queen – their castes were different… end of story). Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri. Directed by Shazia Iqbal. #Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024.”
In a brief clip, Siddhant’s voiceover says, “The dream you have, Vidhi, has no room for me.”
Triptii replies, “Then tell me, Neelesh, what should I do with these feelings?”
Siddhant Chaturvedi also posted the motion poster with the caption, “A king, a queen, a story–two hearts.”
