Ranveer Singh withdrew from Rakshas ‘after three days of filming’: ‘is he a child?’

Ranveer Singh out of Rakshasa: Ranveer Singh and director Prasanth Varma were supposed to collaborate for the Hindi-Telugu bi-lingual film ‘Rakshas.’ There were reports that Ranveer Singh quit the project due to creative differences. The actor reportedly left the project after three days of shooting and on the advice of someone close.

Ranveer Singh Filmed for Rakshasa for three days

Times Now//Zoom cited a source who revealed that Ranveer was the one who approached Prasanth for the film. “There has been considerable speculation in Mumbai’s mainstream media about Ranveer Singh’s involvement with our movie Rakshasa. To clarify, Ranveer did agree to star in Rakshas and traveled to Hyderabad to shoot with us. It was indeed Ranveer who reached out to director Prasanth Varma. Prasanth had initially planned another project in Telugu after Hanu-Man. However, due to Ranveer’s keen interest, Prasanth decided to postpone his Telugu project to work on the Hindi-Telugu film with Ranveer,” the source informed Times Now.

“Ranveer Sent a Message with No Explanation”

Only God and Ranveer are aware. Ranveer came down to join our shoot. Contrary to what has been reported, he didn’t film a first-look video with us. He actually worked on the movie for three days. We wrapped up the shoot happily. Ranveer expressed his satisfaction with what we had filmed. We hugged him, and he flew back to Mumbai.

The next thing we receive is a message from him stating he couldn’t continue with the film. No reasons were given for his decision. We were taken aback. To make matters worse, someone leaked this information to the Mumbai media. We would have handled the situation discreetly and privately. In Mumbai, they tend to create controversy over even unprofessional actions. That’s not how we operate,” the source explained.

“Someone Suggested Ranveer Withdraw from the Film”

According to the source, it was a close associate of the actor who suggested he withdraw from the movie. “If that’s true, shouldn’t he have heeded the advice sooner and saved us from the financial setback and humiliation? Ranveer was aware he was stepping into an Udipi restaurant. He knew he would get Idli-Sambhar, not Chole Bhature,” the source mentioned.

The filmmakers are reportedly planning to integrate the three days of filming with Ranveer into the movie.

“This is the age of Artificial Intelligence. We intend to include Ranveer’s three days of shooting in the film, even if he ultimately decides not to participate. Yes, we are not shutting down discussions. We are keeping the door open for his return. Better judgment might prevail. Those who advised him against doing our film may change their minds. But we have a question for Ranveer: Is this a joke? To pull out of a guaranteed commitment? Is he a child who thinks he can discard a toy whenever he wishes?”
