A Singapore Airlines flight from London experienced severe turbulence and had to make an emergency landing in Bangkok on Tuesday, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
The Boeing 777-300ER, en route to Singapore, was redirected to Bangkok where it landed at 15:45 local time. In a statement, the airline expressed, “Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.”
At the time of the emergency landing, the aircraft was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, according to the airline’s statement.
