On Thursday, Susan Necheles, who serves as the defense lawyer for ex-US President Donald Trump, had a face-off with adult actress Stormy Daniels during a questioning session about her deposition in Trump’s silence money case in New York. The court case aims to establish if a payment of $130,000, made to keep Daniels quiet, was deceitfully concealed with the purpose of swaying the 2016 presidential race.
Susan Necheles, legal counsel for the ex-President of the United States, consistently questioned Daniels, aged 45, asserting that her account of a solitary intimate incident with Trump was a fabrication. “This is all a creation of your imagination, correct?” the attorney queried at one juncture, to which Daniels vehemently responded, “No,” as reported by the AFP news agency.
In the course of the hearing, which spanned close to eight hours across two days, the adult entertainment actress alleged that Necheles was attempting to manipulate her testimony. “You’re attempting to imply there’s been a change when there hasn’t,” she asserted, referencing her narrative of the occurrences, as reported by AFP. Trump’s representatives sought to portray Daniels as a greedy, untrustworthy, and scandalous character, according to the news agency.
Necheles intensely questioned Daniels, an adult film star, regarding her choice to write a book containing portrayals of the incident, as well as her decision to endorse branded items. “Similar to Mr. Trump,” retorted Daniels, as reported by AFP.
Following Daniels’ Tuesday testimony regarding an alleged intimate incident involving herself and the ex-US president in 2006, for which she reportedly received payment to remain quiet during Trump’s 2016 election campaign, the stage was set. The identities may vary, but the sexual encounters are indeed real. Hence, it falls under adult entertainment,” the testifier further explained, as captured by AFP. If her story involving Trump were fabricated, she asserted, “I would have scripted it much more impressively.”
